Old-Fashioned Festivities at Tolland High School

enjoyed a decades-old tradition this weekend with its madrigal dinner, a fundraiser for the music department, according to choral director Linda Tracy.

Residents enjoyed a three-course meal and a great combination of music and humor from students reenacting an Elizabethan meal.

Tracy said that the high school's madrigal group members were dressed as various upper class characters, while the women's chorus helped to serve the guests.

Along with the choruses, small groups of student musicians provided background music.
