Manic Monday For Tolland Firefighters: Multiple Serious Calls

TOLLAND, CT — In a Monday full of mayhem, the Tolland Fire Department responded to a dozen calls that included a fatal crash on Interstate-84.

The day was marred by slick roads due to heavy overnight rain that turned into wet, thick snowflakes.

The fatal crash involved a sports sedan that became stuck under a tractor-trailer near Exit 68. See more one the crash here.

Another highway crash was near the Mountain Spring overpass.

A crew also responded to Kozley Road for a car versus tree accident.

The Tolland Fire Department also had a mutual aid call in Mansfield when smoke was seen in a building. The trip was called off when the fire was deemed under control quickly, officials said.
