Emergency personnel have finished at the scene on Merrow Road in Tolland.

Update, 9:20 p.m.

The situation is now under control. The third tank being replaced is in good condition.

Units are still operating on scene. The tank burn-off is still in progress.

Update, 2:25 p.m.

According to @TollandAlert, the scene is stable. The Tolland Fire Department, Tolland Public Works, the Connecticut State Police, and DEEP are all on scene.

Merrow Road remains open but some businesses have closed, so call before you try to go there.

One lane of Route 195 is blocked and it will be four to six hours before the tanks are pumped off.

The Crystal Lake Fire Department from Ellington is responding to the scene to assist.

Emergency personnel are responding to a propane leak on Merrow Road, reports NBC Connecticut.

The leak is reported at 200 Merrow Rd. and the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection is en route to the scene.
