Revisions To Tolland Green Sidewalk Plan Get Creative
Sidewalk plans revised this month are being studied for the Tolland Green.

TOLLAND, CT — Revised sidewalk plans for the Tolland Green show a creative way to enjoy one of the showcase features on its south end.
The first look at the plan to add sidewalks to the green came on May 16, when the town's engineering staff provided a digital rendering.
After receiving feedback from community members, though, the plans were updated on June 5, Town manager Brian Foley said in his monthly report to the Tolland Town Council.

One revision was creating a semi-circle around the large pine tree on the Green.
At its May 23 meeting, the council approved the use of America Rescue Plan funds for the
construction of the sidewalks. The amount is not to exceed $400,000, Foley said in his report.

One way town officials have made the green more accessible is via temporary mats. The mats are designed to make it easier to for those with disabilities, those pushing baby and toddler strollers, those pulling small children in wagons and others with challenges to get around the green.
