TOLLAND, CT — A drunken woman on a moped was corralled by state police on Interstate 84, an arrest report indicates.

State police said the incident took place Sunday.

The moped, with a 44-year-old Hartford woman aboard, was traveling too slow on the eastbound side of the highway near exit 68. The stretch of highway is not only notoriously hilly, but signs on every entrance ramp clearly state that mopeds are prohibited.

After she was stopped, state police administered sobriety tests, which the woman failed, according to an arrest report.

She was charged with driving too slowly on a highway, driving under the influence, improper operation of a motor-driven cycle and driving while under suspension, along with insurance and registration violations, according to an arrest report.
