Tolland Among 23 Area Schools to Earn Votes in Latest Scholastic Sports Polls

A compilation of the most recent polls in Connecticut soccer, field hockey, football, volleyball and cross country.

A total of 40 varsity teams representing 23 high schools in Hartford and Tolland counties received votes in the most recent Connecticut scholastic sports polls.

Sports included are boys' and girls' cross country, field hockey, football, boys' and girls' soccer and girls' volleyball. Some polls are conducted by coaches, while others are voted on by state sports journalists.

Among area schools, Glastonbury is tops this week with five teams receiving votes, while Granby Memorial has four. Three teams are featured from both Coventry and Tolland, while Ellington, Farmington, Hall, Lewis Mills, RHAM and Suffield each had two squads pick up votes.

Single teams are represented from Avon, Bloomfield, E.O. Smith, Enfield, Hartford Public, Plainville, Rocky Hill, Simsbury, Somers, Southington, South Windsor, Wethersfield and Windsor.
