The single most pressing issue facing our town/district is _______, and
this is what I intend to do about it.

Cooperative communication across our town boards, agencies, businesses, and community in order to facilitate Tolland’s wellbeing. I intend to cooperatively draft a specific plan that addresses ways various matters should be handled, articulates goals for our town, and defines ways that governance is transparent and cooperative.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates
seeking this post?

My law practice involves representing indigent parents and children, acting as Conservator for elderly persons and persons with developmental disabilities. This has given me great knowledge of the struggles of many of our citizens and to use my skills to assist them. I am a problem solver, critical thinker, and mediator by profession. I am always looking for the most efficient way to achieve a positive outcome.

List other issues that define your campaign platform:

I feel our town would benefit from the development of a strategic plan.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

The best advice ever shared with me was ...

I was once told that when choosing a new path in life I should list all the pitfalls I may encounter - And then fold that list up, put it in my pocket and charge ahead. This list is to be reflected on and to provide an idea of what challenges I may meet and not surprised by them.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your
positions?

I have lived in Tolland for over 30 years. I have a diverse cultural background that gives me a perspective of being welcoming and accepting of others. I am also a small business owner and understand the day-to-day trials and tribulations with running a business. I want to have a hand in shaping the Town of Tolland to continue to be family friendly and has a robust economy to cover the needed services. I think all of these goals are attainable for Tolland. Although I am a Democrat, I believe in building a strong local government through bi-partisan cooperation.
