Tolland Church Horsing Around For New Steeple
A Derby party is in tap to raise funds for steeple renovations
TOLLAND, CT — A local church is trying to turn Derby Day into a steeplechase.
The United Congregational Church of Tolland is hosting a Kentucky Derby Party on Saturday, May 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church, 45 Tolland Green. Church members and residents can watch the Kentucky Derby Live and "play" the horses.
Prizes will be awarded for "Best In Show" Kentucky Derby attire.

Proceeds will go toward needed repairs to the church's steeple, a fixture in the historic section of town.
