Tolland Council Calls Special Meeting for Village Development
A developer is slated to make a presentation of development plans for the Tolland Village Area.

TOLLAND, CT — A Special Town Council meeting has been called for Sept. 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the Fire Training Center for a presentation about the Tolland Village are development proposal.
The training center is at 191 Merrow Road.
Developer Mark DePecol is scheduled to make a presentation of development plans for the Tolland Village Area. The public is invited to attend.

DePecol and NE Real Estate are proposing zoning amendments to the Tolland Village area. Concepts have been bantered about for more than a decade, but NE Real Estate seems serious about setting things up to at least develop the area behind Papa T's, Subway and the Electric Blue, yet include both sides of Route 195.

Zoning officials have been asked to exempt certain conditions of town code to allow for buildings up to five stories, and a facade of up to 300 feet.
