Tolland Girls Finally Stopped in Class M Soccer Semifinals
The Eagles had defeated three higher-ranked opponents prior to Monday's semifinal match.

NEW BRITAIN, CT — The magical run through the Class M girls soccer tournament finally came to a halt Monday for Tolland High School.
Fourth-seeded Notre Dame-Fairfield received a second half goal from tri-captain Sam LaValle and made it stand up, earning a 1-0 victory in the semifinals at Willow Brook Park.
Tolland, the No. 17 seed, had defeated three higher-ranked opponents on the road during the tournament, with a scoring margin of 13-2, but the Eagles were unable to beat Lancer goalkeeper Samantha Camacho, who registered 11 saves.

Notre Dame will play Immaculate for the Class M championship Saturday.
Four teams from Hartford and Tolland counties were in action Monday, but Glastonbury was the only survivor, advancing to the Class LL semifinals with a6-2 win over Staples. South Windsor fell to Ridgefield 6-1 in Class LL, while in Class M, Lewis Mills was upended by Immaculate, 3-0.
