To the Editor:
As the Chairman of Tolland's Planning and Zoning Commission, it has been my great pleasure to work with Jeff Gordon on a number of land use and zoning control issues that have been facing Northeastern Connecticut communities. Jeff has been a consistent and outspoken leader on the continued practice that local communities know how to effectively and fairly regulate their land use policies. Jeff has been a stalwart proponent of local town control against cookie cutter, large city zoning changes that have been attempted to be forced on us by Hartford.
Local control does not mean the opposition to change. It means the we in small Northeastern towns, know how best to implement zoning changes that will benefit our communities and families in the effort to support and expand affordable and equitable land use. To assume that Hartford, New Haven and Bridgeport know our northeastern towns economic and housing environments better than we do is absolutely ridiculous.

I fully support Jeff Gordon for the Connecticut Senate election this year because I know, from first hand experience, that he as the experience, knowledge, integrity and will to do what is right for the communities and families of the 35th District.
Please join me in voting for Jeff in November.
