Tolland Seeking New Assistant Director Of Human Services

The oown of Tolland is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Director of Human Services. 35 hours a week. Starting salary range is $61,261 to $69,942 (DOQ) with excellent benefits. Works under the direction of the Director of Human Services for the purpose of assisting with professional services to residents in need of support or assistance related to personal, social, mental health and/or economic needs. Plans, organizes, and implements a comprehensive youth services program. Duties include: providing crisis intervention; assessing client needs; short-term counseling; determining available programs and services; preparing and maintaining client files and records; liaison to inter-governmental agencies and community/civic organizations. Minimum requirements: the skills and knowledge required would generally be acquired with a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Counseling, or some related field, and three year’s experience in youth service organization, counseling, or group work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
