Tolland Town Council to Consider $414k School Security Upgrade
The Tolland Town Council will be considering whether to authorize more than $414,000 for school security improvements at Tolland schools.

The Tolland Town Council will be considering whether to authorize more than $414,000 for school security improvements at Tolland schools.
The proposed project would affect the high school, middle school, intermediate school and Birch Grove Primary School. Some updates would include school guard glass doors,, windows, exterior doors, camera upgrades and radio alert systems.
The town would have to bond at most $240,041 and would receive more than $174,000 from a state grant.

The measure would be introduced at the Town Council’s Nov. 25 meeting and a public hearing would be scheduled for Dec. 9, 2014.
