My name is Bob Abbate and haved lived in Tolland for 20 yrs. I am proud to endorse Jacob Marie for a position as a member of Tolland Town Council. I was able to get to know Jacob while I was running for Town Council and he was running for the Tolland Board of Education. Jacob immediately impressed me with his understanding of budgets, and his insights not just into education but all aspects of our town government. His support to ensure all children have access to an excellent education here in Tolland was based on facts not emotion. I saw his dedication first hand, as the Chair of the Curriculum Committee, as he worked across party lines to ensure the Tolland school curriculum satisfied all student needs as well as the town's budget concerns. Therefore, based on his performance I believe that those same skills and talents can be brought to bear positively on the Tolland Town Council.
In conclusion, Jacob's approach is consistent and fair and is not emotional. He does not waiver in the face of adversity and has proven his abilities to manage the complex issues of Tolland. Reliability, consistency, and Fairness is what is needed on the Town Council. Therefore, I am supporting Jacob Marie for the Tolland Town Council on November 7th!
