Tolland voters selected Tom Foley as their GOP candidate in the Aug. 12 primary election, with 297 votes for Foley to 215 votes for state Sen. John McKinney (R-28).
Foley ultimately won the statewide vote. He will go up against Democratic incumbent Dannel Malloy and Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman on the Nov. 4 gubernatorial ballot.
