Town Of Tolland: Icing Event

Press release from the Town of Tolland:

January 5, 2022

(January 5, 2022) At approximately 7:10am this morning we experienced a light drizzle which then started to freeze at roughly 7:30am. Our trucks were on their assigned routes at 7:10am applying salt to the road surfaces. It typically takes approximately 2 ½ hours to completey cover each route when the road surfaces are easily navigated by our trucks. With the icing that we are experiencing it will take a little longer to cover the routes. We are urging people to stay home and off the roads, if at all possible until the weather gets better. Please exercise caution while driving, thank you.
