Join Carl Stidsen at our November 8th Coffee House at the UCC of Tolland from 10 AM - 12 Noon, where he will speak briefly about his Titan II mission to generate interest for Veterans to view his PowerPoint presentation on Saturday, November 12th at 11 AM at the Tolland Jail and enjoy a free lunch at the Military Museum.

History Talk set for Nov. 12 in Tolland on the Titan II Missile Program - Carl Stidsen from Tolland (Major, USAF, Ret.) will give a free talk on Saturday, Nov. 12, on the Titan II Intercontinental Ballistic Missile program called “Life in a Cold War ICBM Site: On the Nuclear Bullseye.”

During the Vietnam War, Stidsen served as a missile combat crew commander at a Titan II site in Arizona, logging over 8,000 hours underground during more than 380 nuclear alert tours, each lasting 24 hours.There will be cake and a tribute to Bob Lincoln, who served three terms, and Greg Forbush, who served two times, and they will be leaving the Tolland Veterans Recognition Commission this month.

Also, on November 8th, Veterans are meeting at the SPOT in Tolland from 7 PM to 9 PM, our first initiative is to provide a time for all Veterans to meet and enjoy each other's stories. This will be a great time for good food and friendly company.
