Younger Drivers Racing In Older Cars Blamed For I-84 Crash In Tolland
State police said teens racing caused a rollover highway crash in Tolland Monday night.

TOLLAND, CT — State police said three teens appeared to have been racing on a stretch of Interstate 84 in Tolland just before a crash that left the highway littered with car parts and one vehicle rolled over.
The crash took place at 9:50 p.m. Monday on the eastbound side of I-84 near Exit 69, according to a state police crash report. Those involved were an 18-year-old from Manchester in a 2010 Honda Civic, another 18-year-old from Manchester in a 2007 Civic and a 19-year-old from East Hartford in a 2013 Nissan Rogue with a 19-year-old from Manchester also in the car as a passenger, according to a cash report.
State police said in a report that the teens appeared to have been "slow rolling" on the highway before racing.

The center and left lanes were full of debris from the crash and were closed until crews could clean up the mess, according to a crash report.
Despite the rollover, no one was injured, state police said.
