2 Charged After Altercation Outside Of Stop & Shop: Trumbull Police

Police released new details concerning the altercation that occurred in the parking lot of the shopping center.

TRUMBULL, CT — Two people have been charged in connection with a physical altercation in the Stop & Shop parking lot on Quality Street on Friday, police said Monday.

Police said their investigation revealed that Robert Zacchia, 55, of Madison Avenue, was walking through the Stop & Shop parking lot, as Emmanuel Andriotis, 19, of Old Town Road in Bridgeport, was driving. Both men then made eye contact and arm gestures toward each other, police said.

Andriotis circled the parking lot, and returned to the area of Zacchia when Zacchia approached Andriotis’ vehicle and began yelling at him, police said. Andriotis exited his vehicle and the men continued to yell at each other in the busy parking lot, police said.
