Local Girl Scouts are holding a Fill the Truck event to collect cookies for Cookies for Heroes
Girl Scouts in your community are still participating in the 2012 Girl Scout Cookie Program! Participation in the Cookie Program helps girls learn five important skills: decision making, money management, business ethics, goal-setting, and people skills.
An important part of the Girl Scout Cookie Program is the Gift of Caring project, Cookies for Heroes. This program provides girls the opportunity to sell cookies that will be sent to service women and men at home and overseas. Last year, Girl Scouts of Connecticut sent 120,000 boxes of cookies to our heroes, and this year the goal is to send even more!
To reach this goal, Girl Scouts in Trumbull will be holding a Fill-A-Truck event to benefit the Cookies for Heroes Program. The whole community is invited to join the Girl Scouts on March 17 from 11am-1 pm at Middlebrook Elementary School to help fill a truck with boxes of cookies for our heroes. Cookies are $4.00 per box or $48.00 for a case.
