Annual Historic Hike Sunday Nov 2, 2014 12 noon: Meet at Old Mine Park

The Trumbull Historical Society in partnership with the Trumbull Nature Center will hold this year’s historic nature hike on Sunday, November 2 meeting at Old Mine Park. The hike will begin at 12 noon and explore Parlor Rock Park, Indian Ledge Park and back to Old Mine Park, in that order. On the hike we will visit the site of the Parlor Rock Amusement Park, an ancient Native American cliff shelter, the ruins of the Radcliffe knit mill and explore the remnants of an old tungsten mining operation. Hikers should dress appropriately, wear suitable footwear and bring along a water bottle and a snack.
