Fairfield Follies is Back!
Fairfield Follies begins preparations for their new production to premiere in May 2012
The Fairfield Follies Foundation is once again holding auditions for its annual musical theatre production for high school students across Fairfield County.
Marje Tracy, President and Executive Producer of the non-profit organization, has been the director of Follies for the past 12 years, and this year will be no different. Follies is a production for high school students in Fairfield County that feature the biggest song and dance numbers from up to 6 Broadway musicals. Aspiring young actors, singers and dancers showcase their talent every year and some even take on roles in more than one show.
Past productions have included hit musicals such as: Dreamgirls, Memphis, Showboat, West Side Story, A Chorus Line, Brigadoon, Jekyll & Hyde, Wicked, Candide, Jersey Boys, The Wedding Singer, Hair, Ragtime, Annie Get Your Gun, American Idiot, and Les Miserables

Winner of the 2006 Tony Award for Leading Actress in a Musical- The Color Purple

Auditions will take place February 6th, 7th, and 8th at Bunnell High School in Stratford (1 Bulldog Boulevard). Any student auditioning should bring a list of credits or a rèsumè to attach to the audition form as well as an audition piece from a musical and should dress accordingly for a dance audition as well. Auditions will run from 5:30 pm to 9 pm all three days.
Performances will take place May 18th through the 20th at Bunnell High School.

Follies has been a part of my musical theatre experience since my junior year in high school and my participation has really helped me expand my acting and singing range. I'm very excited to be working with the cast this year as a returning alumni member.
