Fairfield Follies Theater stars sing music of Cole Porter

Established in 2000, the Fairfield Rotary Club began holding auditions for a new musical production, highlighting multiple Broadway musicals. The productions feature high school students from all over Fairfield County, bringing those with different voices, histories and backgrounds together to make one phenomenal show for their friends, families and fellow Thespians.
Highlighting shows such as Les Miserables, Wicked, Kiss Me Kate, West Side Story, Hello Dolly, Jersey Boys, Candide, Showboat, Brigadoon, Stomp, The Color Purple, Jekyll & Hyde, A Chorus Line, American Idiot, Memphis and Roar of the Greasepaint, Smell of the Crowd.

Amanda Bilger, Carissa Massaro, Kenny Metzger and Michael Wright, all former residents of Trumbull and students at Trumbull High School and St. Joseph's High School, respectively, will be joining the cast of this spectacular performance along with other Follies Alumni, including Regional Center for the Arts graduate Letoya Edwards, and other alumni Brett Boles, Molly Garbe, Kyle Garvin, Jim Nassef, and Garth West.
The Follies alumni will perform nearly thirty Cole Porter songs including such classics as “I Love Paris,” “Begin the Beguine,” “Night and Day,” and “I’ve Got You Under My Skin.” Many of the songs come from Broadway shows such as Kiss Me Kate, Can Can, and Anything Goes, currently playing at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre in New York City.

General ticket prices is $35, with cabaret and auditorium style seating. Gourmet Boxed dinners will be sold for $14 each, with your choice of grilled chicken, sliced beef sirloin, or vegetarian plate. Food and wine is allowed in the theatre. Snacks, desserts and beverages will be sold at the concession stands at the theatre. Secure parking will be offered for $2
The show will take place at the Downtown Cabaret Theatre in Bridgeport, at 263 Golden Hill, Bridgeport, CT. The show will begin at 7:30 pm. For ticket orders to be held at Will Call, please contact Mary Isaac at 203-452-9375.
