How Great Our Kids Are!

I happened to be at our Library today when nine year old Sona Kocinsky came in to make a donation to buy books.  Sona presented checks to Library Director Sue Horton and told her she just had her ninth birthday and “all my friends gave me money for the Library.”  

She said she enjoys reading “mystery stories and chapter books” and wants the Library to get even more.

When the new books are placed on the shelves they will have bookplates with Sona’s name so she and her friends will know they played a part in adding to our wonderful Library.

Sona came with her grandparents, her five year old sister Sara and seven year old cousin Leela Kocinsky.  Sona is finishing third grade, her sister is finishing kindergarten and her cousin is concluding her first grade year, all at Tashua School.

The girls said they all came to the Library earlier this year as a part of a field trip to Town Hall.  Today they were all carrying books.
