Recently, the open position of Town Economic & Community Development director was posted on the web site. As someone who has been in marketing 'brand' development for over 25 years, I can not emphasize enough how important this role is in steering the direction of Trumbull, and communicating and formulating the 'Trumbull Brand". This will be one of the key and most important roles to fill in Trumbull right now.
This professional individual will be the 'Face of Trumbull'. They will be the link and liaison between local businesses, the community, and the town. Their expertise will steer the direction and balance of conservation and development. It will also be one of the most challenging positions in town at the moment. Trumbull seems to be at a 'cross roads' of growth/direction and in need of establishing long-term planning of 'who we want to be' when we grow up.
We have many talented folks in the area, I hope there will be numerous applications for the position, so that Trumbull will find itself in good hands in regards to establishing creative ways to encourage economic growth, while protecting the charm and open space of the town.
