THSGEMB Annual Door to Door Campaign

THSGEMB Annual Door to Door Campaign

The musicians and color guard of the Trumbull High School Golden Eagle Marching Band will conduct their annual door-to-door fund-raising campaign starting Sunday, August 26. The door-to-door campaign is one of the band's most important fund-raisers.

While the music portion of the band program is part of the high school curriculum, the band relies on fund-raising to pay for competitions and other activities, which bring regional and national recognition to Trumbull.

In addition to garnering honors in weekly competitions throughout the fall season, the band has taken part in many nationally televised parades such as the 2001 and 2009 Presidential Inauguration Parades in Washington, DC.

In December THSGEMB will participate in the Desert Showdown in Arizona where it will compete against some of the nation's top high schools at the Fiesta Bowl Band Championships held at the University of Phoenix Stadium. In addition THSGEMB will march in the 42nd Annual Fort McDowell Fiesta Bowl Parade presented by Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation.

Marching band members will visit all Trumbull neighborhoods and can be identified by their shirts. The door-to-door drive ends Sunday, Sept. 9.
