TRUMBULL, CT — A three-car crash near the Trumbull Mall sent multiple people to a hospital with minor injuries Wednesday night, according to police.

In an email to Patch, Police Lt. Brian Weir said the crash occurred around 6 p.m. on Madison Avenue near the mall.

According to Weir, one car was traveling north on Madison Avenue as a second car was driving south along the road. A third car was also traveling east on Bonhuer Road at Madison Avenue.

The second car struck the third car as the third car entered the intersection of Madison Avenue. The first car also struck the third car, causing the third car to roll onto its side, Weir said.

Each driver was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries, Weir said.
