FCIAC Girls Basketball Playoff Race Jumbled
With three weeks remaining in the regular season , just two games separate fifth through 12th place in the standings and there is a five-way tie for seventh
Judging by the standings, the final three weeks of the FCIAC girls basketball season figures to be wild and wacky.
While the top four - Danbury (12-0), Wilton (10-2), St. Joseph (10-2), and defending champion Trumbull (10-2) appear to be playoff locks, the next eight teams in the standings are separated by a mere two games.
Westhill (8-4) holds the fifth spot, one-half game ahead of Trinity Catholic (8-5), followed by a logjam of five teams at 7-5 -- Darien, Norwalk, Stamford, Staples and Fairfield Warde, which is one of the hottest clubs n the league, having reeled off five straight wins.

New Canaan, in 12th place, is another game back at 6-6. While needing lots of help, Ridgefield and Fairfield Ludlowe are still alive mathematically at 5-7
Key games on Tuesday include New Canaan at Warde, Norwalk at St. Joseph and Wilton at Staples.
