Herbst Appoints Tesoro to Finance Board

TRUMBULL, CT—First Selectman Tim Herbst has appointed Vicki Tesoro to the Finance Board in place of outgoing member Tom Kelly.

Herbst said there was no need to go through the expense of a special election to fill a vacancy on a board Republicans control 4-2, according to the Trumbull Times. None of the board's alternates are Democrats.

Tesoro was a member of the Town Council and a member of the finance committee. She was involved in school budgeting as a PTA liaison. She also holds a masters degree in taxation.
