Jean Wood Crozier, 83, of Trumbull

She was an avid UConn Women's Basketball fan.

Jean Wood Crozier, age 83, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late John Huntington Crozier, entered into eternal life on May 22, 2016. 

Born in Charleston, WV, she was the daughter of the late Walter Austin Wood and Ella Wood Lemon. She was an active member of The First Presbyterian Church of Fairfield for over 40 years. Jean loved watching college sports and was surely one of UConn Women's Basketball's biggest fans. She also enjoyed cheering on her home state's West Virginia University Football team. She was very fond of animals, especially her dog, Beemer, who was a wonderful companion to her for many years.

Jean loved her family very much and was a devoted friend to all who knew her. Her memory will lovingly be cherished by her daughter, Julie Crozier Tomasella, and her husband, Louis C. Tomasella, of Oradell, NJ; granddaughters, Amanda and Lauren Tomasella; grandsons, Russell, Christopher, Patrick, Daniel, and Chad Bentley; 6 great grandsons and 5 great granddaughters; one brother, Walter Austin Wood, Jr., and his wife, Sherry, of Nitro, WV; two nieces, Terri Burdette and Candi Riggs, and a nephew, Craig Wood. In addition to her husband, John, Jean was predeceased by her daughter, Cynthia Kay Bentley. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 11:00 am at The First Presbyterian Church of Fairfield, 2475 Easton Turnpike, Fairfield, CT 06825.
