Joseph Brons, 89, Of Trumbull

Joseph J. Brons, Age 89, of Trumbull, died on January 20, 2018 in his home. Born in Bridgeport, CT on August 19, 1928, he was the son of Julius and Mary (Kekacs) Brons. He was a resident of Trumbull most of his life. He was a U.S. Marine Corp. World War II Veteran and a retired supervisor from Sikorsky Aircraft with more than 30 years of service.

He was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Nichols. He enjoyed traveling and visiting the casinos, but most of all, he delighted in spending time with his loving family. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Eileen Victoria and her husband, David, and three cherished granddaughters, MaryAnn, Christina, and Danielle Victoria. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as his dearest friend and fiancee, Eleanor Christiano.

He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Anne (Harmon) Brons, and their daughter, JoAnn, as well as his sister, Rosemary (Brons) Gabianelli. Friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Thursday at 9:15 a.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull., and at 10:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church 220 Shelton Rd. Interment with full military honors will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may greet the family on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
