Laura Ragusa, 66 of Trumbull: Italian Choir at St. Margaret Shrine

Laura Ragusa, age 66, of Trumbull, passed away on Wednesday, May 27.

Laura Ragusa, age 66, of Trumbull, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Antonino A. Ragusa. Born in Limina, Sicily, Italy on September 27, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Sebastiano Chillemi and Maria-Concetta Rizzo. Mrs. Ragusa was employed by Ashcroft in Stratford, where she worked in assembly and quality control with many years of dedicated service. She was also proud to have been a member of the Italian Choir at St. Margaret Shrine in Bridgeport. A devoted wife, mother, sister, and aunt, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her beloved husband Antonino, of nearly 45 years, other survivors include her children, Philip Ragusa of Trumbull and Daniela Ragusa and her husband Lawrence Foster of Bloomfield. Laura is also survived by her sisters, Giuseppa Coglitore, Nunzia Occhino, Maria Bartolotta, and Giovanna Papa, all of Sicily, Italy. She was predeceased by her brother, Carmelo Chillemi.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. directly in St. Margaret Shrine, 2523 Park Ave., Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends and relatives may call at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull on Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
