Letter to the Editor: Tesoro Speaks to Residents

To the Editor:

I would like to express my appreciation to Vicki Tesoro for taking the time to come and talk with me and my neighbors at Spring Meadows. It was so nice to hear from someone so engaged with the community and who understands the needs of seniors. Mrs. Tesoro was thoughtful and intelligent when discussing our assisted living community and how we fit in to the Town of Trumbull.

It is my understanding from others in my community that up to this point our questions and phone calls regarding the senior center and senior transportation have gone unanswered. I found it refreshing to find someone actually happy to listen to our questions and discuss the issues. She agreed that changes needed to be made, but explained that she wanted to discuss our issues directly with the people in charge at the senior center before making empty promises. She actually told us that she would return to our community with answers to our questions no matter the outcome of the election. It is so nice to know that we have somebody in our corner. Thank you Mrs. Tesoro!
