Letter to the Editor: Vicki Tesoro in Tune with Community
A letter from a former Trumbull High student about First Selectman candidate Vicki Tesoro.

To the Editor:
I first came to know Vicki Tesoro as a Trumbull High student, whether she was volunteering with TPAUD, the We The People team, or the ACE Foundation. For the past four years, I have been proud to call her one of my Town Council representatives.
For the many who know her, her positivity and determination to make Trumbull a better place for students and their families to live is abundantly clear, based on her straightforwardness, honesty, as well as track record of service and dedication to the town.

Vicki is in tune to the needs of our town today and is prepared to deliver. She has so far stated she will refuse the recently passed increase in pay, push for the installment of a light at the Edge/Chips interaction, and a return to the traditional Trumbull Day.
Vicki understands the importance of listening as well as leading. I look forward to the return of respect, consensus, and compromise that has left the First Selectman’s office. As Vicki said in her nomination acceptance speech, “Trumbull is a great place with an even greater potential, but we need a fresh approach in Trumbull and we need it now.”

I feel very fortunate to have grown up in Trumbull and am grateful for the opportunities the community and public school system have given me. It is for these reasons I, along with other young adults in town, feel responsible to vote for Vicki Tesoro this November to ensure Trumbull remains such a positive place to grow up in.
Sincerely,
Marissa Piccolo
