Lyft Ride Leads Cops To Trumbull Burglar: PD
A Lyft ride led officers to a burglar in a roundabout way, according to police.

TRUMBULL, CT — A Trumbull man was arrested after he burglarized a home and stole a credit card that was later used to pay for a Lyft ride, according to Lyft.
Lyft is a ridesharing service similar to Uber.
A home on Fairfield Drive was burglarized in June 2017. A burglar rifled through the victim's purse and took some change and a newly-mailed credit card, police said.

The next day the victim was notified by her bank of a fraudulent charge for $24.02. Police tracked down the Lyft account holder who eventually told police that Jordan Elien, 19, used the account for a ride, police said.
Eilen was at the Bridgeport Correctional Facility on an unrelated matter when police charged him June 6.

He is charged with first-degree burglary, less than $500 on a revoked payment card and receipt of goods via credit card fraud.
