Man Helped Steal Car From Trumbull Mall Parking Lot: PD

The vehicle was recovered after he gave detectives its location, according to police.

TRUMBULL, CT — A Bridgeport man was arrested after he helped steal a vehicle from the Trumbull mall parking lot, according to police.

Anthony Lopez-Nieves, 29, admitted to police that he dropped someone off to steal a 1997 Honda Accord May 5, police said. The car was valued at $1,300.

He told police the location of the vehicle in Bridgeport and it was recovered.

He was arrested by warrant June 24 and charged with conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny.
