Man Stalked, Sexually Assaulted Woman At Trumbull Mall: PD

TRUMBULL, CT — A man was arrested after he forcibly hugged and kissed a woman at the Trumbull mall, according to police.

The 18-year-old female shopper was walking out of Target and was approached by a man who said she was pretty and asked for a hug. The woman declined and continued to walk to her car, but the man insisted again. He then grabbed her and gave her a hug and a kiss, police said.

The victim called her mother who immediately came down to the mall and tracked down the perpetrator. She began yelling at him and mall security then showed up and contacted police.

Sharnardo McBean, 23, of Bridgeport was arrested and charged with third-degree stalking, fourth-degree sexual assault and breach of peace.
