New Human Services Director for Trumbull

TRUMBULL--The town of Trumbull has a new human services director.

According to a town press release, Michele Jakab, LMSW, is the new director of human services for the town.

First Selectman Timothy M. Herbst made the official naming on May 27.

Jakab, a Norwalk resident, has extensive experience working for the town of Norwalk, as Outreach Coordinator for the Norwalk Senior Center.

Now, she will oversee the Senior Center and Social Services in Trumbull, the release states.

The new director has a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from California State University at Long Beach and a Masters of Social Work from Southern Connecticut State University.
