New Trumbull Economic and Community Development Director Promoted
First Selectman Herbst made the announcement Thursday.

First Selectman Tim Herbst announced Thursday that Jaime Bratt has been promoted to the director of Economic and Community Development.
Bratt served as director of Planning and Development for the past three years.
“Jamie has proven herself a tireless leader and a creative, tactful problem solver,” Herbst said. “In a short time she has transformed the Planning & Zoning department into a responsive, efficient and service-oriented department. She has shepherded over $120 million in development through a complex regulatory process, and is often praised for her poise and exemplary service to the public and to the development community.”

Bratt will take over for Edward Lavernoich, who accept a position as president of the Bridgeport Economic Development Corporation.
“Ed has been a fantastic mentor, and commands the professional dexterity to handle a broad range of community development initiatives, from grant applications, to tax incentives, to marketing initiatives, to strategic land acquisition, to telecommunications investments and much more. He knows how to connect the right people to a project, and just the right touch to keep complex transactions moving forward,” Bratt said.

Bratt will lead permitting teams in providing concierge-level service to developers, contractors and citizens.
