Obit: Anne Ayles, 94, Of Trumbull

Anne Sabol Ayles, age 94, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Joseph Ayles Jr., passed away on April 16, 2018 in Ludlow Health Center, Fairfield. Anne was born in Bridgeport on August 25, 1923 to the late George and Susan (Petreycik) Sabol and has been a life long area resident.

She was an avid bowler, enjoyed cooking, playing BINGO, and to travel. Survivors include her devoted sons, Joseph Ayles and his wife Mary of Shelton, and Richard Ayles and his wife Karen of Monroe, 4 grandchildren, Joseph Ayles, Holly (Ted) Orazietti, Kristen (Dom) Goncalves, and Kendra (Mike) Brightman, 8 great-grandchildren, Joe Dylan, Jacob, Gina, T.J., Ryan, Andrew, Matthew, and Raegan, a great-great-grandson, Jace Joseph, 2 sisters, Mary Sabol and Frances Repasky, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Anne was pre-deceased by her brother George Sabol.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, April 20th at 9:15AM in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10:00AM in St. John’s Byzantine Catholic Church Trumbull with the celebration of a Divine Liturgy. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery Stratford. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anne’s memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Association 200 Executive Blvd Southington, CT 06489. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-7 pm. Panachida will be at 4:30PM.
