Obit: Esmeralda Moreiras, 71, Of Trumbull

Esmeralda A. Pereira Moreiras, age 71, of Trumbull, beloved wife of Antonio Moreiras, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2018 in St. Vincent's Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Born in Macos, Portugal on April 5, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Candido and Candida Pereira. She enjoyed spending time at the beach and cooking for her family. But her greatest joy in life was being with her grandkids.

In addition to Antonio, her husband of 40 years, survivors include two loving children, Gilberto Moreiras and his wife Martha of Seymour and Linda Moreiras Piddington and her husband Eric of Monroe, four cherished grandchildren, Manuel, Anabella, Elliena and Karissa, two brothers, Armando and Candido Pereira, three sisters, Maria Augusta Barreira, Fernanda Pereira and Saozinha Sequeira, a sister-in-law, Laura Pereira and as well as many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by brothers, Acacio and Jose Pereira and sisters, Maria Eugenia Almeida and Edite Gomes.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
