Obit: Helen Ingrassia, 80 of Trumbull
She volunteered for many years at art shows held by the Monroe and Milford arts councils.

Helen Marie Voytek Ingrassia, age 80, of Trumbull passed away peacefully at her residence on September 3, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.
She was the beloved wife of the late Peter J. Ingrassia. Born in Bridgeport on October 31, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Stephen Edward Voytek and Mary Fafrak Voytek. Helen worked in the banking industry for 38 years including The Milford Bank, from where she retired in January of 2006. She enjoyed a lifelong hobby of creating both oil and water color paintings.

She was an avid volunteer at the summer art shows of the Monroe Arts Council for 18 years and also the Milford Fine Arts Council for 20 years. A loving and devoted wife, mother and loving grandmother to her grandchildren, she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her children, Vincent Ingrassia (Kathy Meyer) of Trumbull, Joan Thomas and her husband Wayne of Claremore, OK, and Jean Young and her husband Brian of Huntington, six cherished grandchildren, Vincent, Jr., Anna, Jessica, Megan, Kyle and Kayla as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Peter of nearly 60 years, she was also predeceased by her brother, Edward S. Voytek. All services were held privately and burial will take place mountainside in Palermo, Sicily Italy alongside her husband Peter.
