Obit: Rico Baldino, 30, Of Trumbull

It is with great sadness that the family of Rico J. Baldino of Trumbull announces his passing on Tues. July 10th at the age of 30 years. Rico will be terribly missed by: his mother Donna Hovan Baldino; his grandmother Virginia Hovan; his siblings Ronald Jr, Russell and Regina Baldino, Doreen Velez, Tod Baldino and his wife Zdravka, Louis Baldino and Deanna Smith; his uncle Doug Hovan and wife Laura and cousins Sloane and Brent; his aunt Linda Stone and husband Harry and cousins Janine Carbonaro and husband Gerard, Bob Stone and wife Kathy, Jenn Flood and husband Bill; his nieces Miranda Baldino and Ariana Marzulli; his nephews Louis, Max and Cameron Baldino and James Marzulli; his godparents Steve and Sue Novak. He will also be missed by his “like a brother-in-law” Jayson Rotz and his longtime love and friend Gina Dorn as well as too many great friends and extended family to list.

He was predeceased by his father Ronald Baldino Sr, his grandfathers Frank Hovan and Louis Baldino, and his grandmother Dorothy Baldino. Raised in Stratford, Rico was active in many local activities including scouting, soccer, baseball, and Pop Warner Football from 8 years old up. He also did some acting and was cast as Tony Soprano’s nephew on the HBO series The Sopranos. He was most proud of his altar service at Holy Name of Jesus Church under Monsignors Dora and Cuneo.

Rico was a 2006 graduate of Trumbull H.S. and went on to be a wastewater treatment plant operator for both the city of Stamford and Bridgeport. The wake will be held Thursday July 19th from 5 to 8 p.m. at Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday July 20th at 10 a.m. meeting directly at Holy Name of Jesus Church 1950 Barnum Ave Stratford. A reception celebrating Rico’s life will follow at the Baldino residence, 5244 Madison Ave., Trumbull.
