Obit: Robert Bender, 95, Of Trumbull

Robert A. Bender, age 95, of Trumbull, passed away July 25, 2018. Mr. Bender was a retired carpenter at Bridgeport Hospital. He was a WWII Army Veteran. Mr. Bender and his late wife, Frances were founding members of St. Catherine of Siena Church. He always enjoyed a good game of golf, caring for his garden and being with family. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Frances Nahai Bender. He is survived by his two sons Paul Bender and Mark and his wife Karen Bender, all of Trumbull and two cherished granddaughters, Kristen and Michelle Bender. Friends and family are invited to attend his funeral on Monday at 10:15 a.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 220 Shelton Rd. Trumbull. Interment in Nichols Village Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
