Obit: Ruggero Santangeli, 81 of Trumbull

Santangeli, Ruggero, age 81 of Trumbull, CT and Pofi, Italy passed away suddenly on February 27, 2017 in Frosinone, Italy. Born on February 26, 1936 in Torrice, Italy to Benedetto and Domenica (Palmieri) Santangeli, Ruggero moved his family to Bridgeport, CT in 1970 in search of the American dream.

He was an expert equipment operator, mason and all around hard worker in his years as partner in Santangeli Construction. In his retirement, he maintained that same work ethic farming and winemaking in Pofi, Italy. Ruggero was predeceased by his parents and siblings Armando and Nicola. He is survived by his spouse Naile; his former spouse Rosa Santangeli; his children Mirella (Stan) Geanuracos, Bruna (Frank) Salvio and Robert (Nicole) Santangeli; grandchildren Daniella and James Geanuracos, Daniel, Giulia and Frank Salvio and Lidia and Claudia Santangeli, as well as brothers Riziero, Fernando and Mario; sisters Lidia and Lina; many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial Mass will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Margaret's Shrine, 2523 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, CT - See more at: http://www.legacy.com/obituari...
