Obit: Theresa Heaney, 68 of Trumbull

Theresa L. Ondish Heaney, age 68, of Trumbull, beloved wife of Thomas M. Heaney, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at her home. Born on September 11, 1948 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late George and Agnes Tomshaw Ondish.

Her greatest enjoyment was found in the times that she was surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved sneaking cookies to the grandkids, feeding the neighborhood animals and taking time to talk to everyone she met along the way. Theresa was incredibly caring and fiercely loyal to those she loved. A loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was predeceased by her son, Thomas G. Heaney. In addition to her beloved husband of 43 years, Thomas, survivors include a loving daughter, Patricia Thorne and her husband, Joseph of Shelton, two cherished grandchildren, Catherine and Joseph Thorne, her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Michael and Phyllis Heaney, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 220 Shelton Road, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Nichols Village Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday from 2-5 p.m.
