Obituary: Hunter MacDonough Palmer, 77, Of Trumbull
He was a talented photographer and spent much time making art, camping, boating, fishing, skiing and hanging out with his family.

After a two-year battle with liver cancer, Hunter MacDonough Palmer, age 77, of Trumbull, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on August 10, 2023.
Survivors include his devoted wife, Amy Sherwood Palmer; his loving children Zoe L. Jay, Daniel S. Palmer and Nicholas M. Palmer; his sister Judith P. Sanford, his brother Alan V. Jay III, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Lisa M. Jay and his brother Leslie R. Palmer Jay.

Hunter was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Richard and Ruth MacDonough Palmer Jay, before moving to Stamford, CT; he attended Stamford elementary schools, Mount Herman Prep School in MA and New York University Film School, before traveling the world for many years.
Hunter had a very gentle and accepting nature; he was an artist, a tradesman, and a true adventurer with a great sense of humor. He was a talented photographer and spent much time making art, camping, boating and fishing, skiing, and hanging out with his family, children and friends. He will be greatly missed by all.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
