Person Extricated After Route 15 Crash Saturday Night

The highway was shut down in one direction because of the crash.

TRUMBULL, CT — A victim was extricated from a crash on Route 15 northbound last night.

Long Hill Volunteer Fire Department and Trumbull Emergency Medical Services was dispatched to the crash in the area of exit 48. The rollover blocked the highway and emergency crews had to drive the wrong way to reach the victim, according to the Long Hill Fire Facebook page.

Crews extricated the victim in under 10 minutes and cleanup of the scene took about 90 minutes.
