Saint Relic Draws Crowds in Trumbull

Many crowded into St. Theresa Church in Trumbull to get a glimpse of a St. Maria Goretti relic.

Many believers crowded into St. Theresa Church in Trumbull Tuesday to get a glimpse of relics of St. Maria Goretti.

She is the youngest saint in the Catholic Church after being stabbed multiple times at the age of 11 during an attempted rape, according to the Connecticut Post. She forgave her attacker just before dying.

The relic is skeletal remains that are held in a wax figure that is surrounded by glass.
