In Thursday's first game, Bridgeport's Central High School upset Harding High School, 62-52. The loss left the Presidents in danger of missing the FCIAC playoffs.

St.Joseph is battling with Ridgefield (14-2) for the top seed in the playoffs.

The Cadets may need to win both their remaining games against Harding and Stamford to land the no. 1 seed, as their only loss came against Ridgefield on Jan. 4. Since then, St. Joseph has reeled off 12 straight victories.
